New Century Ag

WESTBY, MT -- In 2006, the merging of the Fortuna Farmers Elevator and Golden Plains Ag of Crosby passed
with an 85% approval rate from the Farmers Elevator patrons, which then formed the "New Century Ag," an
independent farmer owned co-op. The merger came with the guarantee of the proposed expansion at the
Westby Elevator site a 961 thousand bushel capacity concrete bins capable of handling a 100 car unit train
located west of the present elevator and much additional rail track, now under construction. This would
almost triple the amount of the present storage capacity. The expansion to a hundred car unit train facility will
include a shuttle loading system, in the center of three existing facilities at Wolf Point, MT, and Bowbells and
Williston, ND.
